I watched Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead last night. The first minute of the movie features a graphic sex scene with Marissa Tomei and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Let’s just say that the Seymour Hoffman to Tomei exposure ratio was unfairly tilted in favor of Seymour Hoffman. So, from the first scene, I had a cringing, snarling, disbelieving look on my face.

And the movie just gets worse and worse from there.

I’m not going to waste any more of your time on plot, characters, or any of that. If you rented this movie but haven’t watched it yet, I suggest you return it. Before the Devil Knows You Rented It.
