Handful of interesting links from the past week or so…

You’ll have to get right up to your monitor for this one, but what is that in the reflection of Dick Cheney’s sunglasses?

If you buy or sell things online, you know how important having a good picture of the item is. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve clicked away from something based on the picture. This tutorial has some good tips on how to photograph your items for online sale.

Improbable as it sounds, somebody is a bigger fan of Chocolate Rain than I am.

A few Phoenix-area restaurants are getting good coverage on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Recent episodes have featured Matt’s Big Breakfast, Thee Pitts Again, and Roberto’s Mexican Food. Rumor has it that Joe’s Farm Grill (located mere minutes from November 1973 global headquarters) will be on an upcoming show. All of these have been added to my culinary road map.

Nice, I just set up a season pass for that Diner show. The host seems like a bit of a putz based on my first five minutes of observation, but I love the idea behind the show!

Guy (the host) can be a bit tough to take at times. His cooking show is much better.

I watched one last night and Kristin had been to the diner in New Mexico and she was all fired up! He needs to come to the Boston area! I have only watched 2 shows now, and Guy can be funny for sure but tough, like you said. I think I will really enjoy the show though.

Surprised he is not bigger with all the delicious eats he gets to sample!

Check the re-runs, he’s featured places on the N. and S. Shores, Sommerville… and other spots around New England.

Oh… and I thought the place in New Mexico from this week’s show looked awesome. Lucky Kristin.

Okay, I have it set up for First Runs only, but I might have to go with record all for a bit. I guess Kristin had the french toast from there every day of her vacation, they showed it on the show, but didn’t detail it, so she was disappointed.
